Meditating in state of relaxationI had a relaxing massage the other day.  I gave feedback to my therapist afterwards, even though I prefer giving it (and receiving) in the moment — when it’s most useful.

It got me wondering how I might relax and enjoy the massage and still ask for adjustments in the moment. (And if I’m having trouble doing this, I’m sure some of my clients are as well.)

Here’s my intention, which I plan to test later this month (weekly massage is my goal):

When I am a client, I will become so relaxed that my usual inhibitions will fade. I’ll allow whatever’s on my mind (a little lighter, a little slower, I’m getting chilly) to roll out, as easy as breathing. All part of my relaxation session.

Now if only I could get my clients to do the same…
